with weakening purchase power, there is nothing much consumer can do.
dulu, kira beli ayam tu paling murah.
daging, kambing, seafood, xyah nk cite, mahal giler sejak dulu.
now ayam also mahal.
everyone vegetarian jer lar.
chicken is considered cheaper type of meat.
that's why people always talk about eating chicken.
You dont see people eating beef, lamb, prawn, crab every day, because they are inherently expensive.
now really no idea what to eat, except vege.

Government should not be in Business. Period
In Malaysia, gomen is involved in everything from military defense to monitor bawang price.
Should have policy of NO SUBSIDY=NO PRICE CONTROL. Let private sector do business.
Gomen role should be Public Security and Safety. Public Education and Public Healthcare
Gomen make sure all items sold have e price tags, Traders display accurate food labels, accurate weight scale etc BUT never tell traders have to sell chicken at RM10/kg
