Is that after transfer the normal line number to unifi number, it cannot be transfer back to normal line?

What if I want to switch to maxis or other, the number cannot be transfer?

Thanks

as at last update on the news, TM is cockblocking nationwide Fixed-line Number Portability (akin to Mobile Number Portability).

All other fixed-lune telcos are ready and eager, but not TM.

TM gave all kinds of reason, but the bigger takeaway is, TM is the largest infra of fixed-line, and it realises it will be the biggest loser if customers can take its number pool to other providers who never had the distinction of shouldering responsibility of nationwide Jabatan Telekom Malaysia.

I see. No wonder they force me to switch my number to unifi. If next time I want to switch back to normal and pay rental that will impossible?

i don't understand what you mean by "switch back to normal and pay rental", nor i have industry's insiders knowledge, so can't answer your query.

my general public knowledge right now - the fixed-line number pool is still anchored to area-based. that's why they can't move your existing POTS service number into fiber-based service; you have to pick anew from fiber-based pool.

in theory, with FNP(?) you can even move a fixed line +603 all the way to Sabah interior, on a different telco. FNP(?) will destroy TM's monopoly on fix-lines, affecting its bottomline.

my number previously is using old telephone line (not fibre) but now they switch to unifi. What I means to switch back to old telephone line.

I hope they will change in future so we can move own number to any others ISP. It too expensive for internet fee compare to other providers.

In Singapore, they can get fiber as low as S$29.90 with 500mbps and in Malaysia 500mbs cost really too much.

TM is decommissioning the copper lines, you won't be able to keep the telephone line for long. If you don't want to pay for Internet, you need to plan using a new mobile number instead.
