Choosing outskirts gives you more quiet & greenery with cheaper house price (affordability) but have to carefully select areas with potential flooding/potential pollution (such as ex-mining land, dumping site, recycling factories etc), and also soil stability aka problematic soil for construction such as peat swamp/soft clay soil.
For city prime area with green parks, the cost is way higher.
But if just staying at congested prime area saturated with condos and jams, mostly choose so because of convenience.
If choose prime landed, higher property appreciation is more realizable. Example nearby TTDI increased in value by rm500k & more within 15years.
