Welcome TO 3RD Generation ISUZU D'MAX & MAZDA BT50 Owners / Fans Club

The third-generation Isuzu D-Max was launched globally in October 2019, just one month after the facelift model (of the outgoing generation) was launched here in Malaysia
– Leading many to speculate that the all-new model will only arrive here earliest in 2022.

The all-new Isuzu D-Max features a striking exterior design, with aggressive design cues that sets it worlds apart from its predecessor.
Inside, Isuzu has also ditched the plasticky utilitarian look for a classy, leather-wrapped interior (for the range-topping model) to entice the lifestyle pick-up truck users.

As always, the new truck will come in a variety of configurations including single- and double-cab guises,
Powered either by the award-winning RZ-4E 1.9-litre turbodiesel mill (first introduced here in the facelifted second-generation model) or a revised 4JJ-3TCX 3.0-litre engine.

The third-generation is the first pick-up truck to score a maximum five-star rating in the latest Euro NCAP tests, and has also obtained a five-star rating in the 2020 ASEAN NCAP.

The all-new third-generation Isuzu D-Max will be offered in seven variants across two engine choices (1.9L or 3.0L single cab, 1.9L Standard manual or automatic transmission, 1.9L Premium, 3.0L Premium, and 3.0L X-Terrain), with prices starting at RM88,599.20 for the workhorse single cab 1.9L model and all the way to RM141,938.40 for the flagship 3.0L X-Terrain model.

GOOD QUESTION
Before purchase DMAX 1.9 Premium, I do have test drive Mazda BT50 1.9 High for compare reference.

Here is my opinion about this two spec comparison (the performance and handling both are use same platform, so same lah)
Pricing :
BT50 Slightly expensive than DMAX around 5K (before sst)

Warranty :
DMAX given 5 Years / 150,000 km, BT50 lesser was 5 Years / 100,000km
for the owner which like salesman every drive for work, trip, i would more recommend DMAX

Interior :
Both are same BTH, just the design language different.
BT50 use their mazda CX series design
DMAX use their new design

both two compare, steering size BT50 will be 5-10% bigger than DMAX

another difference are the seat
BT50 use Cloth, DMAX use combination leather

Front Seat DMAX Manual Adjustable, BT50 8-way Power Adjustable

Exterior :
Both are same BTH, just the design language different
BT50 feeling more classy, DMAX more fiercer
Tail Lamp BT50 use normal bulb, DMAX LED

SAFETY :
BT50 provide 7 Airbag (Driver, Front Passenger, Front Side, Front and Rear Curtain, Driver's Knee)
DMAX only provide 2 Airbag 2 (Driver and Passenger)

DMAX more provide ABS, EBD and brake assist, DMAX SAD BOII

Actually both variant I liked, but I choose DMAX due for my working purpose, extra 50,000km warranty

1.9 Premium Spec, player support ACP & AA, my DMAX facing issue on no AA (got ACP) it, My Samsung Galaxy A72 latest Android Auto on other original player supported just plug and play,
On my DMAX no function, asked some of member said no issue, some of said same issue, I believe was version issue, I requested on 5000km inspection (currently 3500km) to update version or change player which supported AA & ACP

*AA = Android Auto*
*ACP = Apple Car Play"
