Used unifi and time
Unifi - 7 years sub 10mbps. Unexplained lag, direct cable connection also slow and lag, cannot go full speed. Service quite fast though, complaint in the morning, noon got technician come check. Time - 4+ years sub to 100mbps, get almost 110mbps peak with cat 6 cable, able to have steady 100mbps download (google drive upload or download), never need to call technician to come. World class. Happy with Time, never thought of switching try others. |

I used Unifi for a year and moved to Maxis 6 months ago.
Unifi The good: If you browse ehem websites a lot, you can easily bypass their blocking with a simple DNS change. When hardware is kaput, usually they will replace it within a day or two. The bad, horrible international routing especially when you are using their IPv6, previously it was totally unusable after 7PM. Ping to overseas will jump from 130ms to over 600ms with super high PL, check the Unifi international routing thread. Youtube vids won't load during peak hours, plus long CS waiting time. Why I jumped to Maxis The good: Better international routing, competitive plan (I got the RM129 300mbps promo) and they are willing to provide public IP FOC (really important as I run servers at home), and I would likely need the Maxis one prime plan for unlimited data on my phone and 4G backup for my fixed broadband. Their customer service is fast responding and available 24/7. The bad: If anything broke from ONU to the pole, it would take days to fix as they'll need to submit the workform to TM and let them assign a technician once they finished dealing with TM's own work. Hence the need for 4G backup. BTW, been torrenting and gaming on both ISP Both torrenting equally fine (Both of them were on public IP, no available for 300mbps below plan on Unifi now) Gaming wise TM usually gets better ping, but lots of times it ain't stable... Jumping around 120~240ms when I'm playing Wows on NA server. Maxis is a bit higher at 140~180, but a lot stable. This post has been edited by QuantumEdge: Jun 26 2022, 06:58 PM |

Worse is Celcom!
The internet went down last December due to flooding at Bukit Kemuning. No announcements or rebates. Reported to MCMC also no luck. According to MCMC, Celcom has decided to offer rebates but already 6 months, and habuk also don't have. Gonna port out to DiGi by end of December. Not only slightly cheaper but hopefully better service than Celcom. |

QUOTE(westlife @ Jun 26 2022, 07:40 PM) I think that offer is over almost 2 months ago, basically RM20 off the original RM149 price tagFor 24 months After the contract, I will be switching to Allo if Maxis fails to provide any loyalty discount. |

QUOTE(QuantumEdge @ Jun 26 2022, 08:20 PM) I think that offer is over almost 2 months ago, basically RM20 off the original RM149 price tag I see. So the price is not perpetual. For 24 months After the contract, I will be switching to Allo if Maxis fails to provide any loyalty discount. Then I would rather wait for tm to offer the staywithunifi programme. RM129 for 300Mbps. |

If you are happy with Unifi, I suggest sticking with it (do poke them once in a while to get special promo plan)Then I would rather wait for tm to offer the staywithunifi programme. RM129 for 300Mbps. Unless TIME or Allo is available in your area Since all the other ISPs are using TM's infra (Digi, Maxis, Celcom, ViewQuest) Downtime would be a lot longer if you are using any that's not Unifi |
