Hi Everyone,
Need some advise here.
I have a 3month old baby, he will sleep until 2am-3am from 10pm-11pm. Then at 2am-3am, he will awake until 6am-7am. During this awake time, he will cry from time to time until he sleep at 6am-7am. When he cry:-

1) we feed him, and afterward still crying and reluctant to sleep
2) put him on sarong cradle, still cry and reluctant to sleep
3) give pacifier, still cry and reluctant to sleep
4) put him on the cot, still cry and reluctant to sleep
5) swaddle him, still cry and reluctant to sleep

The best part is he sleep soundly and deeply from 10pm-11pm to 2am-3am without any cry. So, I personally think it is nothing to do with room temperature, cot, cradle nor pacifier.

Kindly need your advise on how to stop the crying. I understand the need of feeding during night time, but the crying is a real problem.
Averagely, we are sleeping about 2-4hours a day. too tiring now and really need some advise.

Probably colic stage, if you have tried most of the methods to soothe colic baby, then just have to bear with it. I gave mine a supposedly colic meds/liquid but it only helped a bit.

Turn on white sound when the time to sleep. eg hair dryer or recorded white sound. Morning don't let baby sleep too much. Develop a patten.
Try to understand the baby. Maybe to much gas? put oil on stomach and leg
You need to figure out what the baby want. Diaper wet? Hungry or gas.

I still remember my struggle. All 3 child I jaga sendiri since confinement until besar. If they crying too severe it's usually because of angin.
Secondly, your baby is the one controlling you.
Stop this schedule. You have to take charge to make your baby follow your schedule.

Don't manja the child. Sikit sikit bunyi wake up. So put on a small radio 24/7 with lower volume. Let the child get use to it.

Do not let him sleep so much day time. Most importantly if this is severe case you should rub baby oilment very REGULARLY on the child's stomach (Rub both palm together to generate heat then rub the child's stomach downward) The movement will push angin keluar from perut, biar dia kentut.

After each feed must make him burping (this is a must)
Can try to let the child sleep on stomach that way he/she more comfortable and feel secure.

The best colic liquid is still the old brand
Woodwards Gripe Water

I never regret went true this struggle at least next time i won't be a laughing stock as grandparent.
This is a very good experience, enjoy it.

Yes, we "Burp" him after every meal. Even after the meal, in less than an hour, he will start to cry.

Right after every meal, we will change his diaper otherwise it will leak after 5hours-6hours. If he cry, we will apply yue yi oil on his stomach, but not leg. Will applying on leg help? maybe should give it a try. Got use "Shhh" white sound, but does not seem to work especially when he is crying. Maybe due to gas, we did "burp" him after every meal and use "BioGaia" in the evening meal (one time per day). really pening rclxub.gif

Maybe due to nanny put him to sleep too frequent, it all happen after first going to nanny.
How often should I rub his stomach downward? After meal can ah?

Until the extent we let him cry for 10min-30min, thinking he is just too pampered and wanted attention, and try to make him self soothing.

Weird part is only happen during that time period of 230 -300 till 600-700. and lasted for 2-4hours.

By the way, we also tried putting him on the chest for heartbeat sound, but no use also.

Your nanny so senang one, I also can do such work, just watch baby sleep all the time and take gaji.
Once nanny manja oredi it's very hard to turn back clock. You can but it took awhile to adjust back. You need to spend more time to keep him awake day time with just 1 time 1 hour or split it half hour 2-3 times nap day time so he can sleep smoothly throughout the night.

If he is just crying because u put him down the bed means he manja oredi.
Ever heard him crying while farting? It's angin.
Maybe he got frighten of something, sleeping on his back without anything to hold on to him he feel insecure.
Just let him sleep on side or there's a beanie type of pillow that has a little weight to press down on his stomach. This feels like someone is holding or hugging him.
Let him sleep on his stomach. U can slowly turn him face down on his stomach, turn his head to the side after he fell asleep.

About massage his stomach, after bathing is a must!
After 1hour (when u see his about to start crying) each feeding. If he still breastfeed, regular poop is very normal.
If he is taking soya milk that could be a problem on constipation. Kenot poop will make him cry too, its worse when u have to find ways to get his poop out.

So u have to be fimiliar with his behavior. Observe his move and facial expression.

Thanks for the advise.
The situation seem to be getting better with the below actions:-

1) Increase playtime after pickup from nanny. Really a lot.
2) After confirm he is manja, let him cry for 2min, 4 min, 8 min, 2 min, 4 min, 8min whenever he ask for hugging. After suffer for 5 days, situation seem to improve.
3) Turn on some light as he afraid of too dark situation. He also does not like very dim warm light.

Hopefully the situation can continue to improve.
Will update again.

Glad there's improvement.
Its OK, you do not need to update us here, your responsibility is only on your baby, just continue the good effort.

Sounds like what you're saying is common. Many babies do this. But since he was crying, he must be trying to get something, or something uncomfortable.
