Hi guys, need advice. I am looking at a used audi A4 b9, i really like the design and reviews are saying reliability is good. I want to check if owner's have any issue with the car so far?
Also in terms of spare parts, can i get access to OEM spare parts easily?
How is Audi's maintenance vs bmw?

Audi B9 is about 6 years old now.

If you get the 2 Litre quattro model, reliability should be decent. The other 2 Litre model is a CVT

Maintenance is slightly higher than BMW as spare parts can be harder to find.

Audi's presence in Malaysia is non-existent so find someone who knows Audi well

Audi A4 B9 is nice, go for Quattro model.

Spare parts can be on the hard to find list and they are not definitely not cheap.

There are plenty of Audi specialist out there especially in Klang Valley so no worries. Expect to pay premium price please not your typical under the tree mechanic.

Quattro only difference is the gearbox got front & rear differential - AWD

Non-Quattro - FWD

Just more things to maintain or worry about for AWD, but to own an Audi the soul is the Quattro - AWD system which make it famous.

If you want to own and experience a true Audi, it is a must to pick on the Quattro version.
The maintenance for sure is more expensive compare to BMW or Merc equivalent but the driving experience with the famous AWD is really good.
If take the 2.0 turbo version, most of the engine parts are shared with VW cars like golf GTI, passat, etc..

If you want cheap parts can just find from Aliexpress or taobao from China but buy at your own risk.

Local spare part shop like See Soon at J.Ipoh is one of the few VW group spare part shop which i deal & sell most of it.
There are more shop which specialist in Audi & VW parts, you may just need to google your own and go shop hunting.

You may just get those mechanic which can do VW cars, most of the parts are interchange due to under same group.

I made a mistake, the B9 version has 7 speed dual clutch

If the car is well maintained, there are no real issues.

If you are buying the non-quattro version, you are better off buying a VW passat.
