Chipboard / Particle Board
Chipboard is not water resistant but merely moisture resistant, therefore any direct contact with water is not recommended. |

Chipboard mostly for light furniture. Also good for cheap furniture.

Plywood looks like a multi layer cake. And price is few times more expensive too
