wow... no wonder is difficult.. have you considered investing as your hobby instead as a full time job? If you are really into trading, you dont really have to be in the field to have "advantage" compared to others.

For research or investment banking, it is common to accept engineering or law grads, but culinary management ( i m judging based on the word, culinary, didnt do research about your field ), a bit hard or unusual for them to accept. Well unless you have work experience in F&B and they need some one to cover retail/F&B sector...

If you insist want jump into equity research, getting "Passed CFA Level 1" in your resume would really stand out for your case.
