Hi,

I live in an apartment. Thinking of how to keep a kitty happy when we are in. I know there are cat platforms that can be attached to glass via suction cups, but my windows have grills. Cat trees are an option. Cat wheel? Nice but super $$$.

Wondering if there are any cat owners out there in the same situation. How do you catify your apartment?

Also, any solution would have to be non permanent. I don't own the apartment πŸ˜…

I stay in a condo and I did not do anything to catify my place but I do give the freedom for my car to go anywhere and climb on anything. She has access to my dining table and kitchen table too.

Of course, we close our toilet door...that's about it.

Just to share with those who are interested. I found a product on Shopee that fits my requirement. It's a wooden shelf that hangs on the window grill. The best thing is, it's just held in place by gravity. To remove, simply lift it up.

I don't know if it has a specific name. I just searched "cat window grill perch".

Here's the link.

if you don't have the space, you should build upwards. vertical space is more important to cats anyway.

lots of shelving, cat trees, cat beds high up etc.

Thinking of getting this. Wondering if this is fun for cats or a recipe for disaster when they start to play and jump from one shelf to the other. To those having asymmetric cat trees, does it topple over easily when the cats jump around on it?
