But if warranty usually 2 years left or 3 years and battery cell cost 7k for one. Is it really worth it though?
7k for each cell isn't too bad, at it is only "potential cost". If nothing broken, the hybrid battery should still provide 70-80% of the full new car range after 15 years.Compare this to every 50,000km, 4k-5k guarantee cost for the good 18" UHP tires on 330e depending brand of course. For some aggressive drivers, that would be 30,000km, or very conservative maybe 60,000km.
There are cheaper brands, or use comfort/fuel save tires that last 80,000km, but that's defeat the purpose of having nice car.
Will this make you rather take the 318i for smaller wheel size to save tire cost?
I tends to get the most powerful trim I can afford. Extra torque/power is like fixed deposit, good to have them in reserve. Appreciate it when having full load with family and luggages for road trip, hill climb is chilling without needed to rev the engine rpm high all the time. Sometimes power is not just for speed driving, it contributed a lot in comfort.
