if you have the money.. go for canon EOS 40D because it comes with live view mode

Furthermore .... you dont need to upgrade in the future.

Would it good to invest in a 350d at this time?
Would u consider the specs would be a bit outdated since 350D and 400D is difference of about RM800?

I would recommend either a Nikon D80 or a Canon 400D. If budget permits, perhaps a Canon 30D.

To start off with, and if u have the budget EOS 400D is good. If you don't get a used EOS350D.

After u have familiarised urself with DSLR and u wish to move to another level, then get a semi pro (EOS 40D) or a pro DSLR if budget permits.

That's why, always go for Canon because their lens compatibility and cost of their lens. And of course, they have a manufacturer service center to shout at in case something went wrong wink.gif

I would say Pentax K100D Super. You will be in love with the pentax prime lenses later.

everyone will vouch for the camera they're using. it'll never end.

initially i wanted a Nikon. then Pentax and Sony came into the list. In the end I got myself a Canon. smile.gif

most importantly, you go to the shop and get a feel of the camera itself.

Remember, it will be IN YOUR HANDS so your hands and arms MUST be comfortable with it.
