Hi,

I am planning to park at Park N Ride Gombak.

The image below taken from the website https://myrapid.com.my/bus-train/rapid-kl/park-ride/

user posted image

1. I am curious how they are going to differentiate LRT and non LRT users during entry?
2. Any experience with Gombak Park N Ride or other stations nearby?

Thanks.

Park N Ride at Gombak LRT is RM4.30

1) Enter the parking touch TnG card
2) Ride LRT using same TnG card
3) Exit car park use same TnG card. Charge RM4.30 upon exit.

I am exploring this option as well given the traffic situation in KL. Any experience of PnR from the Kajang MRT station? Is it safe to park there as I have heard a lot of issues.

There is nothing difference between park and ride and a multilevel carpark.

Yes the same TnG chip need to be used for carpark and human travel on LRT.

Whether that TnG chip happens to be attached with a plastic body with your face on it is immaterial. It will detect whether there was a ride done on the same day with that TnG chip serial no., else charge hourly.

Make sure to lock your car... These days, cars with immobilizers are very easy to intercept. Recommend to get break lock installed.

Sorry can’t say for sure.

I’m always there at around 6.30am, coz it takes 1h 15m for me to commute to work.

But if I had to take a guess, by 8am it’ll be full?

morning 8-10am, evening 5-7pm

the usual flexi working hour timing

but 5pm-5.15pm still acceptable

ultimately depends on your location, if you're nowhere near interchange, expect more people

hint: don't be afraid to force yourself into the car, it may look like it's full, but actually if they move into aisle, you'll still have place to stand.

another hint: take note of number of coaches for LRT. sometimes you might be queueing at the far end but next train is 2 coach, then you'll end up blindly waiting

630 arrive station. Means wake up about 5am. Depart about 530/545.

Off work maybe 530, then reach home about 8/9????
