I have 2 induction cookers, my French brand one is a bit unreliable, sometimes can start sometimes cannot.

What you all use and recommend?

As induction cookers are safety items, should I buy familiar brands?

Lazada and Shoppee are selling many brands.

I see this brand getting lots of reviews, PerySmith which I didn't know. It's selling for RM 99 only.

How Is it compare to using gas in terms of cooking cost?

Gas tong Vs tnb bill.

I only use my induction when I do long slow cooking where I use the timer and heat level control, especially the timer. Very useful..... Such as boiling soup, porridge, boil rice, stew, boil leong char, etc.

Using gas to do long slow cooking scared lupa. Lol.

Normal and fast cooking I use the gas

Slow long cooking I don't usually use the gas because gas no timer. Scared lupa and hangus.

if you care, then avoid perry smith or any england name , they are basically china products and relabel with aggressive marketing.

use those gas hob with electric igniter, hookup to electric, come with auto shut off timer, also with safety features like flame out detection
these existed like 15 years+ ago

bosch was selling those at one point but then stopped selling those, perhaps the parts replacement was too expensive for average consumers
but there are others like rinnai is still selling those, just go with induction hob, its faster and safer

Using Bosch. The best because it has a boost mode which can really crisp any deep fried foods.

When it breaks I will replace it with a Teka that has the smart knob, push buttons to control the heat drives me nuts.

Surprisingly similar for me. Used to be 1 tank for 1 month using gas.
Using an Elba unit for 2 years already.
Felt good after switching to induction. Much cleaner, don't have expensive servicing the hob bills.
Pot and pans also cleaner.

I think on average only increase around RM30-35. Bill used to be RM260-270, now hovers around RM300.
We also it to boil water as we don't use a water filter unit. Lunch and dinner of course.
