RM120k with SST for 1.5NA from Honda City for base model....
That's a lot of over confidence in the brand and form factor compared to X50 Flagship as well as Civic and City and Corolla Cross.

The question is will you pay RM20k more for ADAS...but much lower engine performance.
I think I will rather go for Civic or just top up a little bit and get a Corolla cross. Then the size much easier to justify. I was genuinely surprised with the pricing. Toyota can breath a sigh of relief. |

I personally think Honda a bit nuts with this price, Corolla cross a better deal to me.
Should be 10k less across the board. |

QUOTE(funnyface @ Jul 14 2022, 01:59 PM) There was a taiwan review compare CC vs HRV, the HRV interior is bigger than CC even though it is one segment below.... i know mandarin and I am aware of the less shoulder space between Corolla cross and HRV (based on previous outgoing model) where i sat in.If you understand mandarins CC vs HRV But, boot space you don't need to see review. Next, HRV seat middle bump will take away some comfort.....so eventually for 5 adults neither car is going to be ideal for a long drive. For 4 adults both cars can do it. For 4 adults + baby seat, you have to seriously bring your seat to the test drive. That's what I did and I found HRV to be a bit better, but only for my particular own seat. But when you think of maxing out seriously the boot of HRV is just a myvi level and you will struggle for space when doing balik kampung with family luggage etc. So overall size wise I think one can do the in town / city job, one is can do most of the jobs. Then comes performance which HRV wins. I think CC is very bad in the foot brake but otherwise a great package for up to 4 adults. All in all if I was in the market CC is still an important consideration for me. |

QUOTE(funnyface @ Jul 14 2022, 02:24 PM) Good point but many people i know have no interest on boot space, they just want a tall SUV for driving thats why you see the advertisement for HRV is catered for the very young. Its horses for courses. |

My car with wired carplay, I add a dongle from shopee and became wireless. Not big issue.
Will be similar for HRV. I think those who can afford and never really worried for space (couples, singles, really small families, 2nd town car, etc) won’t really mind the extra price compared to the previous model since you do get a lot more. Those who were on the fence and not convinced then May still go to Corolla cross. I was one of them and somehow I jumped to Civic haha. |

QUOTE(-H20- @ Jul 15 2022, 01:55 PM) no doubt civic is a better car. go for civic if dont have specific requirement, such as, must want a taller car. HRV driver seat at the lowest, is still higher than civic driver seat at the highest. let me try to lay down what kind of people can go for HRV without second thought. ok for small family, 2 adults, 2 kids ( before secondary school ) annual balik kampung 1 to 2 times. 95% driving in town. dont have weekly outstation need ( business trip etc ) want a taller car ( because civic rear seat is really low. ) must want to avoid proton ( because x50 x70 is a real direct competitor, apart from spare part ) Do not buy this car if you need to send your son to tuition center everyday, and he is 180cm. need to bring 3 person at rear seat everyday. need to carry 4 person + a lot of luggages, always. those considering HRV vs Corolla cross, toyota corolla cross is not a bigger car as i have shown in the thread. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=5290614&hl= According to this, there is a much larger difference between in boot space between Corolla Cross (Bigger) than HRV (smaller). is this just another illusion? |

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Jul 15 2022, 06:35 PM) yeah and another dilemma I have is to be able to fetch my parents, apparently she having issues to climb up x50, attiva is requires some effort, but myvi is just fine, but I would need a ACC car that helps me to aid my daily jam work driving of 4 hours from pj to Klang vice versa. And Toyota cc hybrid uses foot brake, which I believed will affect the ACC do correct me if I'm wrong. If you need real low speed follow ACC, then forget about Corolla cross. Yes footbrake is defeating the purpose. Just go test drive and try it at a busy traffic light or purposely go jam road. what if like getting married, with ageing parents, current in house like 1 mother 1 sister, and future 1 waifu, expecting 1 kids. ride like Honda Civic is too low to get in while Honda hrv/toyota cc hybrid/x70/x50 is too high to get in, jams 4 hours a day, feels like u need to compromise something regardless whichever options u get. sigh. Honda hrv middle seat is big turn off I must say. In Malaysia if you want everything then the price is much higher. Including that LSF, maybe you can also look at Corolla altis instead. Not lower than civic. I think at least one of the seats can adjust higher too. Another option safest is CRV. I think no issue for in and out, quite nice for me. And civic should still be tested by your parents, maybe get them to the showroom haha. But in your situation I’d just go for CRV TCP, 2nd hand if need to save money. Altis if your mom can easily get seated and exit. |

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jul 27 2022, 04:21 PM) Too simplistic. Better illustrate like below: I can’t think of a logical reason why D would decline right? He gets the car sooner, pays the same amount or less…the only reason is he can’t afford / cannot get loan approved?A placed booking with SA1 before SST deadline (booking #1) B placed booking with SA2 before SST deadline (booking #100) C placed booking with SA1 before SST deadline (booking #101) D placed booking with SA1 after SST deadline (booking #500) Assumption: A,B,C,D booked same model, variant, colour. No other Let's say car for A arrived, but A's loan was not approved. The Sales Manager gave SA1 a deadline of 1 week to to get A's loan to be approved or his client's allocation will go to SA2. SA1 can either offer to C or D. If they reject coz dun want car now, SA1 will advertise outside and SA1 will be desperate coz only have 1 week deadline to register before he lose his commission. So then the SA1 still goes and advertise openly? |
