QUOTE(Area51SE @ Jun 21 2022, 08:55 PM) Still doubtful that SST exemption applies to HRV, I think they are clarifying with the Govt. If confirmed get, we gonna see huge influx of booking for HRV. I share the same sentiment, not so trustworthy salesman plus not so trustworthy government, when answer can be vague and later U turned.

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jun 30 2022, 07:46 AM) Should be this So to get dual air Cond zone , one must buy the top RS trim? The > 7.5k basic income has been mentioned . Interesting..... Am I alone to think this could be the Achilles heel? And a deal breaker for some? This post has been edited by EnergyAnalyst: Jul 2 2022, 12:49 AM

QUOTE(19 Degree South @ Jul 2 2022, 09:12 AM) I just read in fb that Honda scaled down the features in the new civic but with increased pricing. Wtf! Full digital meters becum half analogue. Lol. Dual zone airconds control becum single. What a ripped off! Honda is worse hit than Toyota in terms of chips shortage than Toyota, so maybe this is their way of evading the problem (by granting older tech?) QUOTE(Area51SE @ Jul 2 2022, 10:00 AM) Personally to me, not having dual zone is not a deal breaker to me as i don't really use that "feature" most of the time. Single zone is fine. But i hope the power tailgate could be offered as an optional accessories to be installed. It may be not for you but I think it would be for many? In Thailand I think dual zone is offered to two variants out of three ? Though in Thailand , they only offer hybrid drivetrain. This post has been edited by EnergyAnalyst: Jul 2 2022, 10:47 PM

QUOTE(Area51SE @ Jul 2 2022, 09:25 PM) Difference between the RS and Turbo Variants Credits to Chin Lai Jun Note: - Msia Spec rims for Turbo Variant will get the RS styled rims instead of the one in the picture. - Msia RS spec no two tone colour for the roof.Sounds like more short changes for Malaysian. The most sensible choice is RS. But you need to have more than 7.5k basic income to get it and the appetite for the hybrid drivetrains as well as living with the sunroof I believe this is the push from Honda for its i-MMD drive, hope Malaysian will finally bite, chew and swallow it up like our up north neighbour. Too bad Nissan is missing the action with its e power How nice it would be to be able to choose from three instead of two like our neighbour https://car.inotgo.com/2021/09/20210926010800492t.htmlOh wait, I remember I have read it somewhere it will be difficult for Nissan...Oh here it is the article that talk about that https://www.wapcar.my/news/why-it%E2%80%99s...-malaysia-37187This post has been edited by EnergyAnalyst: Jul 2 2022, 10:48 PM

https://www.wapcar.my/news/interest-for-all...-expected-49115QUOTE we predicted that prices of the all-new Honda HR-V could increase by around 5 to 10 percent, depending on variant.
Interest for all-new 2022 Honda HR-V exceeds Civic, long waiting period to be expected
Seeing how popular the all-new 2022 Honda HR-V has been, buyers need to brace themselves for a long waiting period, probably up to 6 months – particularly for the HR-V 1.5 RS variant.

QUOTE(Area51SE @ Jul 8 2022, 09:04 AM) Haha FB info faster though. If u booked early I think can get by this year. I asked my SA , he say definitely will get by this year. I booked early June though https://www.carlist.my/news/honda-waiting-p...nd-90465/90465/Who is right ? who is wrong? Delivery dates not yet in sight, the wait is long. Prices yet come to light, but dealer is beating gong. All Lips are tight, but everyone sing song.

QUOTE(Area51SE @ Jul 8 2022, 09:01 PM) My SA mentioned the internal memo is true. The 1 year waiting is applicable to those that booked late June or July. His statement mentioning mine can get by this year because i booked early June before Honda announced officially opened for booking Internal memo or no internal memo is not the issue. The issue here is delivery date has been delayed and delayed and expect more delayed. A relative booked a CRV back in February this year, to date still no car. Come on Honda Malaysia, what are you guys doing? So.... Don't be too overly optimistic about delivery dates, otherwise you may be disappointed.

Just realized that dimensions and boot space of the new HRV is just comparable to Proton X50 https://www.carbase.my/car-comparison?id=Sv...56Ut,RS3KEYtRWm, Suddenly HRV is not that attractive any more. Damn it

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Jul 16 2022, 09:17 AM) How long is the waiting list for x50? You should really go and view yourself, the cabin seems claustrophobic but the exterior is very nice Both brands already talking about about a year long wait. Incidentally both dealers are DRB HICOM people. No need to compete already. https://www.wapcar.my/news/1-year-wait-conf...-received-50267Just sharing my observation, and analysis and don't mean to step on any toes , OK. peace This post has been edited by EnergyAnalyst: Jul 16 2022, 10:31 AM

QUOTE(Area51SE @ Jul 16 2022, 09:18 AM) If based on figures, the new HRV boot space is comparable to x50. But when i went to see the car in person, the boot seems much larger. Maybe its just me. You should get your car when ? My relative still hasn't got his CRV . Keep up the good work in making this thread alive. I am with you , you have my support.

Heard SA now pushing for S entry variant, promising faster delivery and what not, just wondering due to cancellation of booking or what.
This book and cancel thing is really creating a headache for dealers to be fair

Perhaps it is a directive from out government...No. I am kidding.
Most likely is to get SST exemption, the rules are not so clear, to declare a lot of red tapes, and governments officials from Custom give them a lot of troubles bacause "god damn too many people " buying cars pre SST and I only want to do my 9 to 5 and go home , so I don't care", etc. etc.
So SA will try to convince you to give up your pre booked unit and take post SST stocks because their life is simpler, you will get your car fast, it is an option. And some may just do it.
I wonder if UMW or Perodua or Proton will do the same to those booked pre SST? I am really wondering
