Yes go ahead and be another fool to fall for these durian plantation scams. This is not the first of such scheme and so far, not a single one is legit.

But this scheme is licensed under the Interest Scheme Act 2016, and the founder is Afiq Johar who has worked with Bain, Accenture and PwC, last worked with Grab and MaGIC

This is Malaysia, we even had schemes which our prime minister have officiated before that still turned out to be a scam. So because Afiq Johan worked with some good companies before means he is suci murni and cannot be a scammer? Seriously, no wonder so many gullible Malaysians.

Ok maybe you are right

Because during the fruit ripening if it rains the fruit will become keras. Chinese call it 蕃薯肉.
So people figured out hilly area are good for durian.

Some variants are very sensitive to this problem, like D24.

Is this some type of shareholding scheme?

I’ll pass as most of them are scams.

Buying land and planting your own trees? Possibly but mostly not as agriculture land is expensive these days.
