Hi. I am currently renting and I want to install carpet tiles in one of the rooms for a home office. What type of material or product should I use to install without damaging the original tiles? Currently, the floor is the typical white square tiles you see in most homes. My goal here is to avoid damaging the tiles and reducing the cleaning effort when I remove it.

Thanks!!

The installer will say it will not damage the original tile. It will not be his problem after the tenancy expires.

Any restoration to its original condition must be to the satisfaction of the landlord, with consent or otherwise. This is a good enough reason to forfeit the security deposit if the landlord is a fussy person.

Sorry, that does not answer my question. I am asking what kind of material (e.g. adhesive, double sided tape) to use to install carpet tiles.

Any adhesive will eventually destroy the tiles surface.
