Hi,

We have a piece of land measuring 840 square meters (approximately 9,042 square feet) at Saujana Impian Kajang. We finally decided to build our forever home there. This is the first time we are doing this and would love a recommendation of a contractor that has the necessary experience that will be able to help us to do this. We hope to move into the new house 2 years from now and our approximate budget is around RM1 million.

Feel free to message me privately to discuss it further. Thanks everyone.

Congratz, sounds exciting. Hired some contractors to renovate 2 of my places. Labour charges are the killer now, they are demanding 200 per person per day. Used to be 70 for unskilled and 120 for skilled labour in 2018. Reason being, shortage of manpower. Even if you are willing to wait, it doesnt seem certain when this shortage would come to an end. I hope you are able to find a good deal.

Not yet. We are just starting. We are considering companies like RekaBrick who can design and build the house.

The 1st person u should engage is not a design & build company, but a qualified architect.

Try searching via CIDB website. Go for >grade 5 ones. Those PM tepi contractors are rarely reliable.

1M I think not enough though unless you are OK with simple designs.

Thanks for the feedback. Will look into it. We are ok with simple and practical design.
