time to get a M1 iPad Pro

i am waiting for the iPad Pro to get updated... but seems like no luck.

I'm spoilt between the air or the pro...I just need it for emails and zoom so which should I get? Sometimes I think the pro but sometimes I think the air will just fit my profile, what do you sifu think, which should I go for??

I haven't watched the keynote, but read about it online.
I'm a bit perplexed on why Apple would limit the number of windows that can be opened at one go: 4 on the iPad, and another 4 on an external display.

It's like they finally let iPad users to multitask like a proper computer, but only 50%

they are strong in marketing. if ipad can fully replace a macbook in anyway, no one will buy macbook anymore.

if you recall a couple of years back they had an ad for the iPad Pro featuring the tagline "your next computer is not a computer".
At the time they marketed the iPad pro as a laptop replacement. Unfortunately while the iPad Pro has the powerful hardware, the software is very limiting.

Probably next year, I guess. My iPad Pro is still working great, really no excuse to even consider upgrading…

Just the Air will do. For that kinda usage the Pro is a little overkill.

Yeah, and they keep marketing the iPad as a laptop replacement… Uhh, no, Apple… That ain’t happening…

it is a 'computer' technically since most workflow now can be even done on an ipad pro such as video editing just that it is a full fresh computer.

Mine is 2020, the second gen one.

I get new iPhones every year but hold on to other Apple products just a tad longer… iPad Pro since 2020, Apple Watch 5 since 2020 and the longest one - MacBook Air 2015!

i see.. indeed macbook does not need to upgrade so often, same as ipad.

Okay Stage Manager is kinda fun - still fooling around with this Beta OS, using it on my main iPad.

A little bummed that the lockscreen for iPad OS does not get the widget.

So basically A series iPads get nothing except a new clock font on the lock screen.

But could you add multiple lockscreens though like on the iPhone?
