Hi /k,

I wan to buy a desktop USB charging hub. Help uncle choose between this 3 brands. Safety above all else.

I bought LDNIO and regretted....yea yea, bcoz its cheap...but lesson learned.

From my surveying, Anker price is more "premium" so is it that much better??

1.Kena zap from the tip of charging cable when connected to the LDNIO.
2.Advertise as "All USB port can charge simultaneously" but the charging LED keep blinking
and if charge more than 2 ports(mine have 6 ports) the whole USB hub overheat.
3.No Sirim approved. Only realize after bought. doh.gif

It's a different material that they use for the circuitry, basically makes it possible for the charger to be less hot and smaller while delivering the same amount of power when compared to a normal charger. Most legit brands will usually have.

My LDNIO used a few months the main port for charging laptop become on and off working.
Checked with the seller it is 3 months warranty only.

Anyway, will still buy it for my kids to charge thier laptop at school, not to worry if go missing.

Samsung max input is:
45W if you are using 22series except s22 (base)
25W if you are using 20series (s and note), 21series and s22

No matter what ever XX W your charger can generate (XX is the number of watt)
Samsung follows the max input above

Anker quality getting worse over the years.

I also regret buying LDNIO, 4 port USB but can't charge 4 phones at the same time without going kaput.

I owned Aukey 5 port (with 1 QC2) is good , but the design sharp edge not very friendly (the same design as apecorp )

But since then i moved on to PD solutions after I owned a samsung phone.

For best compatibility to laptop, samsung phones or pixel phones with PD/PPS 5A, I would recommend Baseus GAN 3 Pro series desktop charger with 2 C and 2 A ports. 100w is good. Unless you charge only your phone and accessories then 65w version for slightly cheaper

Anker Aukey good dont think prolink is up there.

For cables I am mostly using Baseus because it can have 2m length and still support warp speed, mi turbo, fast etc 6A 66w LED. Used to use Mcdodo cables but they are dying faster than Baseus.

Dear TS,

Please list down all the devices to be charged simultaneously (if this is the case...). Laptop, phones, powerbank, smartwatch pads etc. All of them...

The list of devices is important in order to know which charging protocols they are using as well as the compatible cables between the charging hub and the devices.

Dear TS,

Please list down all the devices to be charged simultaneously (if this is the case...). Laptop, phones, powerbank, smartwatch pads  etc. All of them...

The list of devices is important in order to know which charging protocols they are using as well as the compatible cables between the charging hub and the devices.
*
1. Main phone - mate 20x(2018) 5000mAh, super charge, 22.5W 4.5V - 5A

2. 2nd phone - Lenovo P2, has some form of fast charging(18w). Charging protocol not that important to me. I just use it for some sms, wassap usage.

3. Monitor light bar, wireless controller, digital clock. This deskstop accesories as long the ports have 5V - 2A im good.

No laptop.

But 1 thing important is that the hub need to have AC power cable cord out to the wall. Not those travelling type of hub. And also within safety compliance. As u can see i only need 1 port for protocol/proprietary charging but an extra port for future upgrade is a bonus.

Then we'll need lots of USB-A ports and at least one USB-C port for future use.

This is me's recommendation (& SIRIM Approved) :

It says to cum with 3-pin UK wall plug but double check with the Seller to confirm whether 3-pin UK or 2-pin EU in the retail box.

The green port (USB-A QC3.0) can only charges both Mate 20X & LeMoto P2 up to 18W (theoretically) :

We can still use the USB-C port to charge the phones using any USB-C cables becoz the phones only take 18W max due to their proprietary protocols (Who-R-We's Super Charge & LeMoto's Rocket Charge protocols).
