C0,E8600 found on E8600 only because intel need to clear c0 e8400 and e8500 before selling E0 tongue.gif

Hmm I suppose this means that E0 is only currently found on the E8600?

Intel release date for E0 E8400 is July 18 though..

Yup exactly. There's a few reports from the web of ppl getting insane overclocks from E0 chips. 4Ghz at 1.2V, 5Ghz at 1.45V etc.

As for the pricelist - it's not bad. Cheaper than most other dealers by RM5-RM15.

Haha yeah that's why I keep asking about whether anyone has seen a E0 E8400 around.

Btw, if you're impatient, E8600 is already E0..

Hmm why wouldn't you wait though? E0 can't be that far away, retailers just want to finish the stock they currently have..

Hmm ic. If you scroll up or look on the previous page I did say the launch date for E0 was listed by Intel as July 18.

Oh well if you're not overclocking you won't feel it anyways. Or, you could try spoiling your processor and RMAing to Intel in a month or so. Haha..

The Q6600 drops below USD200 thread..

Haha it's hardly worth it to use a Q6600 for a BT rig. Just get an old PC or a dedicated device la.

I'm using a QNAP NAS with BT function built in. Not bad..

It's an LAN attached external enclosure. It serves my whole house data needs with a 750GB HD, and runs BT =)
