QUOTE(xen0 @ Feb 22 2008, 01:23 PM) E8400 vs Q6600 both are great..and perform in different condition/task at stock speed.. but quad more advantages if u plan just for better gaming, surf, movie, save more watt..i recommend u e8400 if got stock but in my shoes, i do encoding, video editing, rendering, and gaming of course..so, quad is my choice if i dont do this video job thingy..i'd rather buy E8400..its 45nm just my RM0.02 |

QUOTE(00007kel @ Apr 22 2008, 11:25 AM) Aww man I dont know if I should get the Q6700 now sobs... Since I using 680i mobo, max i can go for a Quad core is 65nm (or 45nm Dual)... Or i could wait for the August or Dec price revision and hope the QX6850 loses its 'X' pricing... but there's a risk that 65nm quads may be discontinued entirely :'( |

QUOTE(00007kel @ Apr 22 2008, 11:38 AM) Well since its my last upgrade path (stupid Nvidia, was eyeing 45nm Quads when i purchased the system Yeah i know Q6850 would be a longshot >_<" thats y looking at Q6700.. Ahh its inevitable that my bank account runs dry. P.S I payed 1.1k for the E6700 back then, right after the price drop from Rm2k... back then it was a bargain... then the E6750 appeared... |

QUOTE(JJ_3lfen @ May 10 2008, 12:17 AM) I'm not planning to OC, that's why I wanted Q9450 with its low power consumption and heat. depand the usage.. hehehe from now on i think enough for 2 to 3 year.... and depand wat software u use I wonder if the features of Q9450 will be used at the time being.. or Q6700 is good enough for 4-5 years ahead? |
