For reasons best kept to myself, this has to be shared. The DMC 1+3D Jackpot is currently approx RM3.8mil.

I only posted that ticket to fulfill a request, and having done so, moved along. Had zero expectation of any win from that ticket.

Very low percentages for the past several weeks, so I hardly bought any lotteries...yes the doldrums have been on again.

magnum and toto had tried to make a foray into online ticket sales, but were stymied when the conditions of their licenses were not allowed to be extended to online sales.

long version:
back in the days when less tudungs were seen, and green waves were only what we saw in bodies of water, DMC had successfully applied for permission to take bets over phone lines. I believe it was called Telebetting. As technology evolved, DMC had somehow parlayed such permission to include sales thru their app. Later on they even managed to extend such applications to join, and online sales to those who had Sabah addresses in their ICs, much to the consternation of the state govt which had kicked out magnum and dmc, and had Sabah Lotto kicked out of West Malaysia in retaliation. Had toto and magnum instituted voice-line sales when DMC had done so, they would have in all probability been allowed sales via internet apps as well.

on a slight tangent:
during a certain lottery corp's brief foray into ticket sales via app, some trustworthy (and much more intelligent than me) people had warned me of the vulnerabilities in their app and back-end servers. *cough*whitehats*cough* I then stated my concerns in v1.0 of this thread, never bothered to sideload those apps, and left it at that.

Anyways enough said about that.
