I think this need a topic of its own. 0 US trades and fractional shares support ppl low budget no choice need go SA etc now can DIY within affordability in webull. 0 dollars is even cheaper than IBKR 35 cents. Of cuz for Msian need a way to fund SGD becuz for USD withdrawal got 25 fee expensive whereas SGD withdraw free

Finally search so long found one and even better Syfe trade which is only 2-5 free US trades per month. But Webull minimum is 5 whereas Syfe is 1. I think even 5 is still ok becuz 0 comm means you can buy many trades each 5 logical?

Just take note webull fractional shares only applies to market order during trading hours same as Syfe. And I read webull forex is bad so those big players that change 10k for e.g will lose. But since I focus on fractional means my capital is 100-1000 I won't see that significant loss.

How do they make money if the trade is free?

That is why I list down pro and con. All along why ppl use SA etc ? Becuz capital small cannot buy 1 full share whereas from SA etc can buy in. Now with Webull those investors can DIY finally with 0 US comm fees and fractional shares.

I predict SA and even Syfe losing market share to this webull. Even IBKR may lose some unless they follow give 0. But as stated fractional has limitations no limit order, no pre post market trading.

For Msian who like local broker like SA may stay put. If they don't go for Syfe I doubt they go for Webull Spore.

Think is forex and something called payment flow. I read payment flow is your trade go to a market maker who may source for a seller with less than you want to buy and earn the difference.

E.g you want to buy 1 but the market maker manage to find a seller at 95 cents. So the market maker route to this. They pocket 5 cents and present the stock to you at 1 since this is what you willing to buy with.

Margin is quite high.
Maybe as TS said exchange rate is bad. Need to test and see. With zero commison easy to get the usd100 apple fractional shares.

Just to share I apply today 3+ hours later approved for funding. I Sporean use Singpass so faster I guess. Funding have eDDA, FAST, TT. The mobile app UI for deposit is unstable. I try eDDA tap Submit freeze. So I switch to FAST the acct number super long cannot Copy so I no choice use paper write out then slowly key into bank FAST transfer fields tedious. Then in webull app tap Transferred with screenshot upload I have from my earlier bank FAST transfer. The next screen is blank and I go back try second time it says Processing never change. Wait 1 min fedup exit screen and viola the funds appear in my webull cash account.

The help desk actually ok got reply on a Sunday. About 1+ hr I feedback respond back. Webull also support margin and options which Syfe don't support.

Forex I check is not so good. Ppl who invest alot may want to stay in IBKR. But if fractional shares your invest capital not so much can give a try

Verified fractional shares supported but compared to Syfe I find the difference.
1 Syfe fractional shares many digit after the dot. Webull only 5 digit after the dot so actually is smaller?
2 Syfe price is more close to what you see even it is Market order. Webull can differ abit see luck as I try two fractional shares trade buy
3 Webull I hit fractional shares partially filled can you believe? Syfe I never hit such issues.

Lastly really 0 fees for US stock,ETF buy

webull is available in Malaysia?

Don't believe everything you see on SC. Their blockage can be political.

SC even block TD. A perfectly legitimate broker based in US with office in SG.

Just to share from other forum. Ppl with Stashaway, Syfe ETF is now turning to Webull since it support fractional shares. Basically they copied down the ETF that is in Stashaway, Syfe and then filter down to what they want and proceed to use Webull to buy the individual US ETF directly at minimum USD 5 per buy trade with 0 comm fees.

I thought Syfe Custom is good when I can choose which ETF but not perfect as the ETF is based on a list they curated. With Webull any NYSE,NASDAQ listed ETF that support fractional shares I can buy already no restriction.

But to be fair, there is disadvantage. There is no scheduled mechanism in Webull such that we can auto DCA into our chosen ETF. Also there is no portfolio of ETF such that you put an overall amount, the platform provider will divide them and buy into each ETF inside that ONE portfolio. Also only for US stock exchanges don't have Europe etc other country exchanges listed ETF with the exception of HKEX but 0 fees for that exchange securities end 30 Jun 2022

Conclusion: Webull now offer a way to buy US listed ETF of your choice at 0 fees with fractional shares effectively replacing the offering from Stashaway, Syfe. Investor looking for DIY US ETF now can do so with low capital finally.

Since it's the Webull Singapore, PDT rule doesn't apply right?

I am not a trader more of a passive investor. Pattern day trader rule I am not so sure best to email or check with Webull client service
