Hi Guys.
Just wanted to ask if anyone who owns a Sport Rider how is your experience? How is it maintenance wise and what about the infamous "semput" problem?

I think you better join this group to get better insight from the owners themselves. https://www.facebook.com/groups/210745856032109
Last time, I was able to peek through this group when it was still can be viewed publicly, but recently the admin has changed it to private. To conclude what I saw from that group, it can be said nearly 60-70 percent owners have this infamous 'semput' issue. Another common issue is fuel pump filter. The third one, although not that many, fuel meter problem due to broken fuel float in the tank. These are the ones that I can remember la.. Judging from these issues, sport rider's injection system is prone to problem & not as reliable as honda's or yamaha's. Very manja punya sistem & requires delicate on time service. Lambat sikit service or you forgot servicing something, issue might occur. Sound like a headache to me having this bike. Better stick to honda or yamaha for fi bikes to avoid having headache later. IMO, better buy wave 125i despite its infamous vibration issue or lagenda fi rather than this sport rider. After all, there is no such thing as 'truly perfect bike'. There must be weakness here & there regardless of what bike you buy since bikes are machines created by human bro. Surely there will be imperfections. My ranking of better kapcai 125cc & below: Lagenda fi > wave125i/dash125 > sport rider 125i Just my two cents. Take my opinion with a grain of salt. Wait for what others might have to say. |

Not that i used but my colleague who bought This SYM bike said he wish he could buy a Honda or LC bike. Because it feels quite heavy and slow when lane splitting. And he says it quite heavy on fuel consumption.
