The latest PS3 firmware 4.89 & PSVita firmware 3.74 introduces "device login" password.

You can no longer login to PSN using your original PSN password on these 2 devices with the new firmware.

You have generate a "device password" using the PSN website under your account and then replace your original password with this "device password" to login PSN.

You have to generate 1 "device password" per each device you want login PSN.

So if you own 2 PS3 and 1 PSVita, then you have to generate 3 different "device password" under your PSN account.


PS4 & PS5 devices are not subjected to this "device password" login, so you can login PSN on them using your original PSN account password.
