Hey all. I've been reached out by J Star Berhad for a position in Research and Development via LinkedIn but I don't know enough about them.

I have tried googling about them but could not find their portfolio or much on the products they produced.

If anyone is working there or worked there, please do share your experience and details about the company if you don't mind.

the very ones, looks like the same flavour.
First company I ever saw to have a 5 star review as well.

That's what I gathered too from the older threads here. But thought maybe that's only for some clients.

I don't think so. Their main business is gambling system. The pay is good but think for future.

Look for company or industry like banking, insurance, logistics, healthcare, etc. Beside development, learn the domain knowledge and build from there as professional.

i also got approached by the company and few other companies in the same industry. like you said, the offers are good, but what concerns me is that will it be difficult for to make a switch to different industry in the future?

If the cos are doing things like IT side for some gambling co, although the $ can be good, your CV for your next jump would be an issue - main thing: how'd you explain to your potential employers on what you were doing next time when they ask a very simple question: "Could you elaborate more on the work that you are doing for your current company?"

Dont risk your career at such a early stage. Future hirers may see this as a red flag.
