Not sure if you have already heard this. But there are a lot of avi files going around on bittorrent that are supposedly using the new divocodec. These are not proper avi files and are just there to try and get u to install the divocodec and 3wplayer.
Both the divocodec and the 3wplayer are adware/ spyware/ viruses DO NOT INSTALL.
Unfortunately there is no way that I know of to check before u have downloaded the avi file to see if it is using the divocodec. This sucks as I spent a couple of days downloading a file to find out it was using this codec

hmm... Actually some torrents can be previewed manually by setting ur bittorent client to prioratize first piece and last piece of the downloading file. I'll check the file if the first few MB has already downloaded and stop the torrent then open with Media Player Classic or sometimes VirtualDub. Please bear in mind that some torrents just don't want to download the first pieces so got to wait until thy are downloaded. This has something to do with the heading so that Media player Classic or VirtualDub can 'read' the file. Both the divocodec and the 3wplayer are adware/ spyware/ viruses DO NOT INSTALL.
