I deduced car down to civic fb 2014/2015 and kia cerato which civic fb is slightly more expensive
I do mostly city and highway driving and go interstate once in awhile
Which car is better built and more worth to buy? I am concern abt fc looking at least 12km/l to be comfortable
Which one is cheaper to take care and easy to maintain? Also looking at highway stability because use highway alot
Civic seems goods but heard cerato was good too Fd is too old n fc doesnt suit my taste, and i dont want spend too much on cars.. i prefer spend money on other things
Any opinions

I was in your same situation and i choose the fb.
I liked the comfort and stability of the fb, and the looks. Not to say that the cerato is not stable though, just felt more refined in the fb.
If going for fb i would suggest you look for the facelifted fb3.
Personally i went for the 2.0 version. For the added torque over the 1.8.
Average fc under jam + city driving comes to 12.5km/l. But bear in mind this is based on the onboard consumption which tend to be abit inaccurate.

I believe the civic is easier to maintain. Should have more aftermarket parts available also.

you should definitely test drive both of them.
however please kept in mind that some of used car got bad suspension, so please do at least try 2 or 3 different place for the same car.
i will go for Cerato as it's better than most aspect than of civic FB

Instead of cerato torsion beam which could make is less agile? Sorry im not car expert haha But test drive fb on weekend tho

Sorry im not car expert haha But test drive fb on weekend tho "Well, cars like the Renault Megane RS and the FK2 Honda Civic Type R use torsion beam suspension setups. Even the Mazda 3 switched to torsion beam from multi-link, so they might not be so inferior after all. Just like every other technology, the torsion beam suspension has its own set of pros and cons." Personally you can't go wrong with either. To me FB Civic (1.8/2.0) + stronger badge image + more aftermarket/OEM parts + slightly bigger n more practical cabin + heard that d R18/R20 engine is more fuel efficient compared to Kia's - safety and features less than Kia (1.6 Cerato vs 1.8 Civic; 2.0 Cerato vs 2.0 Navi Civic) - this particular FB is from a generation of Honda's with materials that feel the 'cheapest' compared to equivalent contenders - road noise is higher than Cerato - it's no longer as strongly associated to older generation Civics with above class engine response, steering feel or chassis dynamics. However compared to d Cerato it is slightly better but not noticeable for the average motorist unless one has driven both.
YD Cerato/Kx/K3 + somehow felt better put together with better quality materials (although I personally dun like the dashboard design) + has the most features (safety and comfort) + newer yet cheaper + has less road noise than the Civic - steering feel although with multiple mode selection still feels artificially numb than expected (although I would not put the FB as significantly better) - tighter cabin than Honda but rear passengers get their own aircon vents - certain parts still need to fallback to original Kia/Hyundai compared to more aftermarket choices for Honda so parts is slightly more expensive, but you're getting really OEM parts which is more or less d same as original Honda parts
