 How much is the cost to get strata title ?

i just received letter to tell me my condo strata has been issued and that i am to get in touch with lawyer to get it transferred to my name.

i have requested for quote from a lawyer to assist in the matter.

anyone can share how much they paid for this exercise before? ( transfer of mot, legal cost, stamp cost, disbursement, )

2K-5K?
Depends on property price.

RM820k property, quoted around RM24k total for MOT + legal fees + perfection of charge
Got some discounts as this was a purchase from developer during construction phase.

if you use back the same lawyer that help you to do the SPA...they can only charge you 25% of the full scale fee if not mistaken...can check with your previous lawyer

2 main part :
A: LEgal fee
There is legal fees which lawyer quote you to complete the works. - amount is calculated based on SnP price
here quoted as RM 7552.
there is discount... but typically they dont show on quote as not suppose to give legally
as i can see they give very high discount- may be appointed by the property MO

B-MOT
this is paid to government. (LHDN)
via land office
here again calculated on the table.
no discount, non negotiable.

then others are misc loh
in short- you got good deal.

1. Legal fees .. engage the SnP lawyer and is 25% of original SnP fee.

2. MOT ... as per SnP price.

1st 100k .... 1%
101k to 500k .... 2%
501k to 1 mil .... 3%
Above 1mil .... 4%

If you have purchase the property during HOC campaign previously and if you qualify, then there will be exemption. Check with the lawyer and developer.

3. Disbursement .... few hundreds.

My property about 375k... how much would it cost for MOT fees? 7.5k?
