Nothing to do with RFID. RFID deduct toll fee using TnG e-wallet, not money in TnG card as far as I know.

I think just wait until everything more clear.

still use their app mah. I thought tng will charge for service fee. Ok no fee then when old card expired will buy new nfc one. hope it survive until then

new TnG nothing to do with RFID, though both uses TnG eWallet.

new TnG is basically the same as normal TnG, just that you can easily topup using your phone aje using NFC. no fee also, and perfect during emergency. deduct from your ewallet.

ok thanks. really could not brain their point on implementing card with mandatory EOL not that change technology or upgrade in 7 years. some say it is for constant revenue of selling cards but is there more to that

Why need to do that since already have RFID? It is possible to implement like you said for those without RFID. However, only possible if the card use same class of RFID like the RFID tag.

My path to work RFID is 99% smooth all the time. My RFID tag is also FOC installed during campaign launch last time

Old card also need to pay RM10. The worse thing is the card also expire. The RM10 said to be deposit last time but probably RM0 can claim back, stating as processing fee

Want people to use toll and make million but cannot even give the card for free. The card can last 10 years and they make money millions each year yet still cannot give RM1 for customer each year. Reason given if give free, customer will not take care

I bought 2 via app. RM 25 with delivery. Certainly worth it but compatibility with Android phones is questionable. I have tried A72 and OP7. Both unable to reload the card. Note 10+ no problems.

Hi, i reload RM70 to my NFC tng card by scanning it via tng app. Later when i drive through smart tag lane the money deducted straight from ewallet and not the rm70 i reload. So Rm70 reload for what meh?

Coz it’s linked to your TNG eWallet account lor…if balance not enough in your eWallet then only deduct from the card.

If you registered your card into eWallet and drive thru PayDirect-capable OPEN-SYSTEM toll booths, it will deduct your linked eWallet first, if failed then will deduct your card balance.

open-system means those tolled roads that tou pay as you pass through, NOT the ones that you enter and later pay at exit according to distance travelled.

Today tried entering a mall by using tng nfc.. The parking machine decline my card saying low credit balance

However, my card still has a balance of rm14.80.

Anyone have any idea why i can't go through.

Like old time you go to pump station, when pay with CC it will first hold your RM 200, unless you key in your amount to pump first.
So this mall hold(or just confirm) your tng balance much higher than RM 14.80, in case you don't have balance left to pay for the hourly fees.

Unless it is only one time payment like RM 10 per entry, not hourly, then it is different case la.

There is another similar case that only happen with NFC, which they support NFC for cc payment(PayWave with phone NFC) + RFID for TnG/CC, it messed up both charge method(it try with PayWave NFC first, not RFID), so it will report the default error info, which is low credit balance la.

Some parking operators will display the minimum amount required when use tough n go.

But they stick it at the entry. If you are lucky and reload fast then ok, else ... kena horn until pengsan.

Maybe they impose a min RM15 balance. Some do need RM20 as minimum balance

Most mall need at least rm15. Some cheebye need rm20

First everyone forced to use tng card --ok
Then implement tng e- wallet which is diff thing --ok people go download

Then implement tng NFC which required ewallet, another diff thing --ok

My old TNG card was faulty with RM40 balance. Requested for refund but have yet to receive , already 4 months. Not sure they are going to refund or not even though they said yes

Yes, i checked back the minimum balance and the parking operator website says minimum RM15.

eventually people are going to go into the NFC world
if u notice, TnG is making it harder and harder for people to reload
they don't even bother fixing those reload machine at LRT/MRT machine anymore

i guess it's not worth for them to even fix it despite charging customer RM0.50/reload anymore

u go to places like watsons...yes, it's free but more often than not, you'll be told the machine is broken/down
