Hello, I am currently using track stainless steel autogate with dcmoto, can I change my stainless steel gate to trackless?

Got track means it is folding gate? Won't it be a trouble to remove the track?
But I think is possible. Since I heard my contractor told me that the motor are actually the same, track or trackless just depends on the arm and how they install it.
