I'm interested in this plan - and need to ask something:
- I plan to use Maxis Fibre 300Mbps with this plan. What's the additional charges? I did some calculation before (RM299 - RM89 - RM149 = RM359) and I need to double-check about this.
- Can I use Zerolution for this plan on mobile devices? According to the Maxis website it only shows that Zerolution only applies for home devices and tablets.

And other questions:
- I have 3 additional mobile lines on my previous plan (Maxis Postpaid 158 + 3 additional phone lines). Can I move those lines to this plan?
- How does the 4G backup work, and does it have another additional 4G router for use in this case?
- Any feedbacks with this plan for users that are currently using this plan?
Thanks.

(cc Maxis MaxisListens?)

1. Zerolution in case you want to get a new device.
2. You can park all maxis lines into one as prime plan. Supenentary will enjoy all you can eat data and voice
3. The 4G dongle is plugged with the maxis's router. In case fiber network is down, you will still get connected with maxis 4G

So about this: any new device, not limited to home device or mobile device?

That should be convenient for a backup mobile network connection. So, will Maxis install the Wi-Fi 6 router or the normal TP-Link router when I subscribe? Just curious.

Edit: By "normal TP-Link router", I mean this one:
Attached Image
Seems like these 2 routers supports USB dongle.

Can you define your devices ..hahaha ... Well it can be a TV, a new phone, a new laptop or a tablet .. Long as maxis has listed what you can consider of getting ..

Maxis is the only network that provides 4G as backup in the market .. I am using Time and in 25-26 April, their fiber network was damaged by a third party contactor, it took more than 24 hours to fixed, resulted office to be close for a day, not able to work.. Yet no sorry from TIME and compensation... So my point here is the backup is really useful at times like that..

As i know most ISPs are giving WiFi6 now.. You can reconfirm with maxis upon signing with them. And yay as far as i know Maxis uses TP Link ..

btw on experience.. I think Maxis is easy to deal with... Unlike TIME and TM very difficult to talk to them in my opinion

Anyways, is the installation address of the fibre internet needed to be the same as the billing address? Just asking.

If not mistaken the supp line may not be eligible to get new and flagship devices until later stage … but the primary line confirms can. The installment price per mth you need to check their website … supp line may be more expensive than their primary line (logically but not sure) … but sometimes may get RM1 phone for supp line … you can go click at their website to simulate and pick the phone you want for each supp line …

Went to Maxis Center this morning, and here's what I got (also with some of my own research):
- Of course you have to finish your current contract before switching plans
- Base plan is Postpaid Share 48 which is RM48/month.
According to my calculations if you subscribe separately (assuming additional phone lines / supp lines are RM48/month): (48) + (48*5) + (149) = RM437, which is more expensive comparing to the RM359/month (Maxis Family Postpaid + 300Mbps).
- Do note that the RM1/month offer is not available for mobile devices, as you have to pay monthly fees for your phone (ranging from RM19 to RM211 per month, which is nearly close to its original retail price of the phone).
- Maxis Fiber will be installed along with the subscription of Family Postpaid if your home didn't have Fiber Internet yet.

Also, about the router model stuffs: I went to Maxis Center and there's the new Wi-Fi 6 router with USB dongle plugged in, advertised as the router used for Family Postpaid (Kaonmedia AR2140 or similar models?). So in this case, it's highly possible for Maxis installers to install this router.

You have to finish your current contract with Maxis (usually 24 months I think?) then you're able to change to Family Plan. Not sure about termination of contract.

Hi TS, have you got your Family Plan?

I'm also looking for 1, but thinking of getting the 4G wifi instead of the fiber even though my place has the fiber coverage. Do you know if it's possible?

The reason is mainly I don't want to hack the house or run the cable on the surface. I have tested the 4G speed at my place and it's acceptable as I don't do gaming.

Thanks

Here's an update: Just went to Maxis and booked a port for the fiber internet. The staff there said after the installation succeeded, you must come back to Maxis to upgrade to Family Plan.

Update (again?): Maxis Fibre is installed in my house, don't know why did they installed LG8245X6 for us without the 4G dongle. And about the "you must come back" part that I mentioned before, you have to come to Maxis after (about) 24 hours.
