Hopefully stable and good night mode results...

Seems like a reasonable phone

Initial observations:
1. Phone is very thin and very light which is a plus for me. Why? Adding a bulky case will make it heavier (again). Heavier phone = more strain on your hand.

2. Display is bright and vivid but camera punch hole is slightly bigger than the Edge 30 Pro. Note that it may be bigger but the actual 32mp front camera sensor is smaller. I think this is deliberate to make it look less premium. (Just as how Samsung puts a silver outline surrounding the front camera of S20 FE/S21 FE).

3. Processor is snappy but definitely not as fast as SD Gen1 but it feels so fluid that you might think it has a flagship CPU.

4. Best-in-class 50MP main camera. It has a similar image quality like the Edge 30 Pro. Front camera is average. I think this is where Motorola cut costs.

5. Stereo speakers are damn loud! I am blown away by the speakers and didn't expect it to come from a phone. I'm not exaggerating. If loudness is what you need then this is it.

I still need a few days to test the battery life as well as take more sample pics side by side with the s22. Also another thing I need to do is install Gcam and see how stable it is.

Digi VoLTE works on the Edge 30!!!

Yeah at least Motorola should have allowed microSD expansion. Or maybe NM card will work when put in SIM2 🤔

Bro, since you have the VoLTE working now, can you see if there is VoWiFi option enabled? It should be under the sim setting.

Motorola lenovo screw up the firmware on edge30 pro

This is weird, edge 30 regular get volte while pro cannot

Don't blame Lenovo. It's Digi's fault. Why? Because Maxis and other telcos can use VoLTE on Edge 30 Pro. Carrier update should be done by telco and NOT Motorola. This has been discussed numerous times in Edge 30 Pro thread.

I tried my best to look for Wi-fi calling but can't find it in Settings. However, I can search for "wi-fi calling" but couldn't locate where it is 😅

Telco fault or manufacturer fault or both?

VoLTE is a hardware built into your phone. Not really a good analogy but to make it simpler, it's like 5G. This phone, iPhones, S22 etc all are 5G phones but why don't we have 5G now? Simple. It's telco's job to build 5G network and make it available to your phone.

If VoLTE is not available on your phone, it means telco did not "detect" that your phone is VoLTE capable.

Above average efficiency...
