I am having a kitchen cabinet where i need to change the hinge but the screw hole of the aluminum frame has loosen due to some screw/unscrewing.
What should I use to pad the hole so that i could tighten the screw again, do be informed that aluminum layer is quite thin.

Don't use that hole anymore, make new holes.

Or maybe you can still use the same hole but use bigger screw or using the same screw and try to wrap the screw with some tape before screwing it in.

Since you are DIY-ing it's just trial and error.

If the frame can be opened, then use a screw nut bolt.

Use a hinge repair plate, didn't use this before but I saw it in Shopee.

Cut a piece of hardwood that will fit through the hinge hole, as large as you can that will fit in the aluminium frame. Glue it in with construction adhesive, or 2-part epoxy. Drill a pilot hole for the hinge screw, and then only mount the hinge.

I have the exactly same kitchen cabinet will glass design and the pump with you. biggrin.gif

The easiest way, is to use a slightly bigger screw, it will lock well. I did that.
By the way, how long your hydraulic pump can last?

hydraulic pump still ok but the screw holes which become bigger is the culprit.

1) Use slightly bigger diameter screw

2) You can fabricate a metal like this

https://shopee.com.my/Cabinet-Hinge-Repair-...a6-be263b61c79b

3) Instead of screw, you can use rivet as replacement

4) In some cases, can just wood or plastic wedge small enough into hole side to make hole smaller. This still can grip the screw well. I've this also to my kitchen cabinet and so many years still okay. I use rivet for hollow plastic bathroom door to fix a hook.

Looking at the picture, it looks like glass door cabinet that you swing up hold by air pressured piston just like my house. Mine was the screw that hold the piston got lose. I just wedge the screw hole with a wood chip.

Insert into hole.
Then screw into it.
The inside will expand and lock into the alu frame.
