Hi /k i'm planning to replace my mum current wardrobe with built in wardrobe.

Went to IKEA last week, average price is RM2K - RM3K, is it worth it to get IKEA or buy from local vendor?

If you have contact for local vendor feel free to share.

You suggestion and comment is highly appreciated notworthy.gif

---

Thanks /k for your suggestion, i end up buying from IKEA, total damage RM3,000 for Chest Drawer and 150cm x 201cm wardrobe.

Price include delivery and installation.

for wad size? 4x8? 4x9? 6x8? 6x9? 8x8? 8x9? Built-in usually more exp iinm due to majority goes into customized lamination and wood type used.

Depends, if you're good at space organizing, then built in is fine. Else stick with a standalone.

Both got pros and cons, but frankly, I think built in got more cons.

i got one future DIY project for one of my place
maybe for you. materials should be cheap cheap depend on how you do it.
have to see room layout as well.
drill in better more support and stable imo.
for your consideration
then use nice curtains to cover.

alternative
buy book rack if u like to use shelves.
i personally like to hang everything
bottom use small rack or drawers for socks, underwear, pants, watches.
and curtain all that shit

dust is a factor. depends on you tho.
then color theme. matching. finishing, etc.

alot of measuring and drilling. maybe some special tools, so up to you.

get IKEA if you want a wardrobe just to put your clothes
get built in wardrobe if you want to customize the size, especially the height; IKEA wardrobe tallest is 2.1M or 2.4M if i'm not mistaken; Built in wardrobe you can ask them to build all the way to ceiling like mine is close to 3M tall

You can google or find this vendor "Bespoke Kitchen" on facebook; They have very good reviews.

Best to get a few quotations and compare.
