Hi I am a GT at Intel and my contract was extended, is it possible to resign early? Do I need to compensate? My manager said he can ask for waive but not sure how.

QUOTE(darksideofthemoon @ May 14 2022, 12:10 PM) Got feedback from my HR and in my case I do not need to pay because maximum is 1 year and I am already a GT for more than 1 year. darksideofthemoon liked this post

Happen in your department only or in others department too? |

You leaving because you jumping into another department or how ya? Which Engineering School you did, and where you plan to go elsewhere? Because 1 year hardly can find a good place to jump locally. Unless you been offered VSS package if you from Intel Optane BU Group in Kulim. Since Intel Optane now sold to SK Hynix: https://www.lowyat.net/2022/280454/its-offi...emory-business/ I wasn't given a chance to extend. And went on with finding another BU to jump to last May. From what I heard, Intel GT Program: If you sign on board for 1 year GT program initially : - If you resign within the 12 months, then it is payment back to the company = Salary of 12 months - Number of months salary left If you extended your GT by 1 year, from that one year, can resign anytime (ask HR) Unless you special case take GT program + Intel Master Program sponsorship. QUOTE(iSean @ Aug 17 2022, 10:31 AM) See how la, but I tend to stick to MNC just go culture and benefits. there are more than one mnc on the market. work is work, life is life. if a company cant ganrantee those, then i would said look around. sometimes, you may surprised some companies like intel have a lot of process and meeting overhead. even intel company tried to control those(no meeting friday and etc), but its just on paper but not from culture established by their management. this is the feedback i received from those who left intel.I've been to Huawei also quite good in culture/events. Just workload sometimes more muntah than Intel. This post has been edited by soules83: Aug 18 2022, 04:14 PM |
