Imidacloprid would kill too fast, reducing chance for it to be carried into colony. Thats why its mostly used in foliar application.

except that ants always touch each other antenna, thats how imidacloprid spreads.

If I buy the powder ant baits from Lazada, am I supposed to use them as is (in powder form), or mix with sugar (powder form), or mix with sugar solution (liquid form), or even honey? A bit confused on the correct application.

dont go for very cheap solution la.
ants also will know that that kind of food is poisonous and avoid it like a plague after some time.

want to know why bayer poison is very expensive? because the result is mostly positive.

Its for termite.

After i applied, can last around 1 year or 1 year plus b4 any types of ants coming back.

I notice different type of ants will take turn invading my house (Condo 17th floor)
- Need to apply poison for long lasting effect.

If u inside the house 24/7, i suggest u mix a very small bottle. (Careful, it is very toxic)
- Spray a little bit into corner where the ants coming in.
- The bottle will be spoilt, so don't buy expensive bottle ya.

Sigh....... mine need to apply again.
Ants start coming in last week.

Any natural ant bait recommended? Those safe for pets and used near garden, planting vegetables. Scared later the ants transferred some baits near the planting area, human and pets gets poisoned.

I had the same ghost ant issue last year, and it drove me nuts because the regular powder baits didn’t even touch them. I tried the borax and sugar method, but it was more of a pain to get the borax and set it up than anything, and honestly didn't do much for the ghost ants either. After that, I mostly switched to gel baits meant for their species which helped, but only after a few weeks and loads of patience.

Don't kill, follow their route. One end will lead you to their water/food source while the other will take you back to their colony/nest then only you take action.

The most cost effective one I found is Regent 80WG. Mix 1g to 16 liters of water. Use as needed and keep the rest for future applications. And it's around RM5 per 1g packet.
