Hi audiophiles, not sure if this is the correct place to ask but I guess u guys are good in audio stuff to help me.

I would like to use my iPhone as speaker for my electronic drum. The drum doesn't have Bluetooth function so I need to use cable line out and use the phone instead of headphone.

Any idea how to do that? I find internet mostly is teach use Bluetooth to use phone as laptop speaker.

Use a Bluetooth transmitter that fits into the 3.5mm headphone jack of the drum kit. If the drum kit uses a larger 6.35mm, buy an adapter for it.

Plenty are sold online at Shopee or Lazada. Choose a local seller for fast shipping.

Oops.

A phone is also a transmitter so the above solution doesn't work.

U should use a BT transmitter + BT speaker or wired speaker all the way.

I have a line out cable to connect the drum and phone. Can I use that simpler?

I don't think it's possible to use your phone as an external speaker. At least not in a simple way.

Any reason you specifically want to use iphone as speaker instead of headphones?

Buy a portable speaker.

Phone not designed to receive audio from external device and play on it's speaker. There might be some way to hack it, I don't know. But is it worth your time to research and mod your phone just for this.

Don't have any specific brand or model to recommend. Plenty of cheap portable speaker in Shopee or Lazada.
