this is to avoid penalty is it ?
Actually I am doing this transfer for a Japanese friend who had to return to his homecountry within short notice.
Initially I was just supposed to help him pay the penalty of MYR 500 to cancel the unifi subscription (as he was told)
but the people at TM told me that the contract has already changed and that you can no longer pay a certain fee to cancel your subscription.
Instead you have to either pay out the rest of your contract or transfer your ownership.
I use Maxis broadband at home so I am not aware of this as well.
So, his agent did his unifi subscription for him as he is not very well-versed in English,
and she told him that to cancel you only need to pay MYR 500.
After that he tried calling his agent to clarify, she refused his calls and messages.
Hmm.
So I thought the least I could do was to maybe help him look for someone to transfer the ownership to.
And considering that TM changed their contract recently,
I thought this would definitely benefit whoever who wants to sign a new 2 years contract with unifi.
Hence, this thread.
