If you
1. Have no life due to no work life balance 2. Have no time due to always come back late 3. Too lazy to wash and dry out your clothes Suggest to buy washer dryer combo. Put in clothes before going work, come back can lipat edi. So convenient. |

QUOTE(ry8128 @ May 6 2022, 01:18 PM) Where u buy bosch wasching machine? For bosch, the spare parts will be shipped directly from germany. No local spare parts for their machine. For repair, better just call their service team. And hows the service and parts availability? Easy to find ppl for service/repair and parts? Lead time for spare parts is usually around 1~2 months. |

QUOTE(Hardcore Leveling Warrior @ May 6 2022, 12:12 PM) for 8kg front load, do we need to put maximum 8kg of clothes or we can only put the clothes up to certain level (2/3 of the drum space)? A few factors to consider.1. Condo or landed? If condo, then space is a premium so front loaders are better for that. Otherwise, stick with top loaders since their capacity is usually higher for lower price. 2. Number of occupants. If you have 4-5 people, definitely look at getting at least 12kg or higher. You waste more water/electricity doing multiple loads. 3. Maintenance. Choose a good brand that has local warranty and repair services. Don't wanna wait for spare parts to get shipped from another country. |

QUOTE(ry8128 @ May 6 2022, 01:35 PM) Oh ok, thanks. Hows the charges for the service team? Is it on the high side? Actually the charge for their service team is quite fair. When my parents machine had the drum replacement, the service fee is only around rm180. The bulk of the bill went to the parts. And is bosch reliability is good? If really good, then i might try this as my next brand. In terms of reliability, no difference than other brands i guess. But their staff did tell me, try to never overfill your machine. That should prolong the life of the machine and the drum. |

QUOTE(alfiejr @ May 6 2022, 02:08 PM) A number of things but most likely its the drum going kaput. If liddat better just get a new machine since a drum replacement is quite expensive already. QUOTE(Volfeed @ May 6 2022, 05:00 PM) QUOTE(puppeto4 @ May 6 2022, 05:01 PM) defak?which one is it? |

QUOTE(FusionXY @ May 6 2022, 12:24 PM) FL front loadI am using a Bosch Serie 4 8kg in my rented HDB..quick wash 15-30 min, else heavy load can go 60mins, holds up well for a few pax to wash separately (single user loads) Else I'd recommend LG direct drive 10kg+ models (bigger is better if u wanna wash blankets or many towels) Most of the issue is because ppl buy small machine and expect kancil to pull containers. Proper sizing (10kg+) is important for family loads ALL FL need to ventilate (keep door open) to prevent moldy gasket FL spin look for higher rpm, the advantage is clothes spin till very dry can dry off in 1 day hang outside (even partially shaded) TL semi auto sharp is cheap but slow to fill the 36L. water is cheap in MY. else can consider the sharp 10kg, i think its not bad smooth drum won't spoil dresses TL toshiba older model also not bad lah if u wanna save money get a used one about RM400 common issue all can settle with parts from hairul vcool DIY youtube videos Toshiba drum a bit harsh on clothes tho. Many runs on my clothes :sob: TL rpm lower for spin so clothes not as dry.. u spin max or spin double also same issue. OK if u have a sheltered place to hang clothes but generally FL "out from tub" is dryer. This post has been edited by ceo684: May 7 2022, 12:24 AM |

QUOTE(china_dude 02 @ Jun 1 2022, 08:11 PM) QUOTE Front-loaders do it best, because the tumbling motion puts gravity to work, knocking clothes against each other, scrubbing themselves against the abrasive elements in detergent, and against features of the drum or wash tub, all with more energy than the twisting motion of a top-loader can muster. It doest use complicated gears like top loader and the casting (heavy weight) keeps it sturdy with suspension arm supporting below. Simple design but efficient in cleaning. That's why it is pricer but can last long. Don't even need to service Mine still running fine since 2015. This post has been edited by bananajoe: Jun 1 2022, 08:15 PM |

I have a LG 10KG 6 motion washer (WF-HD100WM) (Top Load and a DDM type) and used it for 7.5 years then the lid-lock issue cause it to not be able to retain water. Was quoted by one of LG service center around RM275 to fix it. I think 7.5 years isn't bad. The price was around 1.5K back then. But when I tried to look LG washer again, and the price now is around 2K and above for such capacity. It has increased quite a lot and the built does not look as good as my old LG unit. Also my old unit has more features and function than these new ones. Inflation is crazy!
A sales person at Lionmas highly recommended to me a Haier 12kg washer with DDM and inverter (HWM120-M1990DD). The price is around 1.8K. It does look kinda fancy but it's a phased out unit as it has been replaced by a new version of it. I was initially tempted because of the price and the DDM inverter plus the 5 Energy Rating. What held me back was my bad experience with China brand - I have a Midea AC before and it broke down by 2nd year. I think Toshiba (AW-DUK1300KM) 12kg inverter is a good option and better bet @ RM1650. 2 years general warranty, 3 years PCB and 10 years motor.
