I’m looking to purchase a 2 bedroom 840 sft condo in Penang. It’s about about 30 years old

I plan to buy movable furnitures/ ikea

I only intend to do the following

Change tiles for 2 bedrooms

Completely redo bathroom in a basic way( redo tiles, change sink, shower area, remove bathtub x 2 bathrooms

Redo bathroom ceilings to plaster x2

Install new kitchen cabinet/ hood and hob

Paint the whole house

Only looking at basic type of fittings, nothing fancy

How much would I be expected to pay and how long will the renovation take?

If budget permits, I suggest the following .....

1. Retile the entire flooring
2. Rewiring
3. Replace water piping
4. If wooden window and door frames, have it replace.

how about living room floor tiles ? do you intent to replace as well ? I would advise change all tiles to 2'x2' . I estimate would be around RM20k+

I guess 40-50k with basic fully furnish, if u have time to survey and manage each contractor + hunt cheap furniture/home appliances then might close to 40k.

With ever increasing price of stuff in Malaysia...
Especially after Raya (some shops mentioned next week onwards)..

Close eye needs to keep 50k in hand.....
