Hey Guys and Gals, I am working on a survey on travel allowance given by all the big companies in Cyrbejaya. I need to get information for comparison and justification.

Hope you guys could help me up to share out the travel allowace given by the following companies:
. IBM
. Dell
. Motorola
. Erricson
. HP
. EDS
. Fujitsu
. E2
. HSBC
. OCBC

Known Result:
. Shell = RM 1000
. DHL = RM 700
. Intel = RM200 + (10% of the base pay - more like a geographical difference)
. TRW = RM 400
. Satyam= RM300
. Atos Origin = RM400

Many Thanks.

What job level is your data based on? Junior/Senior/Manager/? I am sure most comps allowance vary by position/rank. It would be helpful if you put the job level (not exact position) so that its more accurate.

DHL used to pay RM1,100 (during my time) by now standardize to RM700 across all levels. Maybe there are exception for heads/directors - not sure smile.gif

HSBC got DTS paid already lar..obviously don't have transportation allowance.

IBM = 300 for manpower staff.

If got DTS , i think it is much more cheaper than using a car to drive...down. Save petrol and toll .

The toll and petrol is not worth the transportation allowance.

DAmn!! I wanna join SHELL!
Currently, my company didn't pay any allowance for tol/parking/petrol and I am working at CyberJaya. Furthermore, keep asking me to go here & there. The worst, didn't pay for my claim for months!

Luckily, I've tender my resignation letter to run away from this hell!

If I am not wrong, IBM gives RM1.00 per km claims. They don't give allowance as allowances can be taxed so its counted under business claims.
