I am about to change my tyre but undecided whether i should continue with run flat

Reason being i like the smoother(softer) and quiet ride which fun flat couldn't provide me

But my car dont have spare tyre

Anyone who have been using run-flat and has changed to normal tyres can share their experiences?

change to normal, in the boot carry a whole rim fitted with normal tyre as spare.

depending is yours a weekend car or not.

also tire sealant is good to have just in case.

Never use it and hope dont need to use it. Most puncture due to nail so can cabut and pump back on the spot.

If tire letup lain cerita i will call tow truck since 90 persen drive in kl

Most of the time kena nail i will just top up air and drive to tire shop let the kuli do work

Went for Michelin at rm1,135 per tyre.. changed all 4 and got a rm100 rebate through TnG..

Though earlier was tempted to go for the cinturato p7 from pirelli but was told michelin is alot more quiet...

Not exactly quiet as non run flat but still pretty good compared go my previous sets...so far quite pleased with them

yup...but i googled instead of asking the tyre shop coz i reckon they would say cannot ; new business mindset

if i dont have a baby, i wouldnt mind so much since its easier and cheaper to get a flat bed tow truck

I believe the Michelin Primacy is more quieter than Cinturato P7, still using P7 for 3 years, weeks ago changed after punched with screws, tyre is flat already but able to drive going back home more than 150km of Journey. RM900 per piece

Price depend size
So far i survey P7 and Conti around same price
Bridge higher a bit
Michelin higher another notch
How about aspect ratio?
Do you get 45 or 50 or 55?
Is 45 ok for normal ride?

I changed to normal tyres. It's much cheaper than run flats. Nowadays with modern tyres rarely you get a puncture unless u go through a lot of bad roads and/or construction sites where you can get the occasional nail which also not that bad as it will be a slow puncture instead of a blowout.

Nop, in reality nowadays newer Michelin tires are not into silent but more towards braking performance.
Can see the noise performance is just around 6 for Primacy 4, while Pirelli P7 around 6.2 (slightly better).
Still in term of overall performance Primacy did better compare to P7.

The biggest surprise is a lot of middle range tires example Falken FK510/520 also can do better in term of overall.

Right now running 23k km mileage with this tyre, average reviews in Internet commented that P7 could last until 40-50k km of mileage (since this tyre is for Touring if im not mistaken)

Previously was used Conti Max Contact MC5
