Cheeann, you believe in dyno? Actually my friend car already try in dyno with heavy rims with his stock rims. The heavy rim due is heavy, once their in high speed, their easy to get more faster. This is what we learn when on dyno at sunway. The dyno fella told me that. The dyno shop beside also have wheel shop and the worker came and told us same theory. That y I said that. Heavy rim only effect pick up. Wan more info, ask at zerotohundred forum. Their have much more real exeprience fell they will free to help.

Mild vibration I don't think got. I called my personal mech at Ampang and ask about that mild vibration. He mech explain to me, that mild vibration can be fix. I believe on that personal mech because he fixed all our family car and the workmanship is damn great. His personal experience are great tho. But, I sure will try it by my own with those replica you mention. My previous putra is using replica rims and my cousin driving it. I already told him wanna borrow his car and try it and see what is the MILD vibration is. And about mild vibration, now my car using 14' steel rims, also got vibration on steering when hitting above 130km/h.

Cheeann, KeV told me that ur dad open tire shop. Is that true? Buy tire from you can get cheaper?
*
not really cuz wen u go fast of cuz u'll go faster later cuz of then car's momentum is pushing car but as u also agreed it effect on pick up but u've 2 remember due 2 da weights i dare 2 bet wit u also will lose ur top speed even thou u can easily get faster wen u go fast.... about da mild vibration u jus try on da straight road at constant speed ad 90,100 or 110 km/h n feel it for urself... u're having mild vibration on 130km/h on steering only?? do u feel da vibration on ur seat or rear seat as well?? well,i'm keeping myself low profile so i won't wan 2 tell it but if u feel happy 2 bias wit me n i'm free 2 bias wit u 2 but jus hope u're not like da noob person in myvi forum making himself so famous cuz he's selling his stuff n dunno anything about car practical but jus theory which is not enuf 2 conned an old man like me here s u also can tat he's very seldom in here but only stay in myvi forum club trying 2 bash n bias wit me all his shallow theory n practical about cars n he got a bad reputation in his own automotive forum in his post....

Hye guys, wanna ask something, after raya i'll service my car because will nearly reach 60K km service break in, wanna change timing bell set as well, my ques is can u advice me what engine oil can i use? previous service i'm using shell 20W-50 engine oil (yellow bottle), my car already 2 years old, so is it ok to stick to that engine oil for next service?

oh ya, a couple days ago when i hit a speed bump or drive on an uneven road i can heard the knocking sound from the rear of my car.. what sound is that? is it from the absorber? it will sounds whenever i drive on the uneven road on hit a speed bump.

Thanx for ya advice sifoo, selamat hari raya!!
*
depending on ur engine but as for ur car model 15w40 should good enuf for u if ur engine dun 'makan minyak' btw ori oem timing belt can last u at ard 100k km but for da safe side u can change it ard 70 or 75k km onwards... ur sound must slowly catch where exactly it comes from ur rear cuz a car is built wit at least 1000 things wit it....
kevinlim:not all thicker oil is good for da car... let say ur car is using 15w40 rating then suddenly u change to 20w50 rating,ur engine'll suffer cuz thicker oil will make da engine not so smooth n lack of power cuz of thickness of tat oil even thou it's protects d engine very much, for example ur leg suppose 2 wear size 7 but u bought a shoe size 8 n bigger than suppose 2 b n by then do u feel comfortable by wearing it?? i believe our car's manufacturer not tat stupid 2 simply recommend us 2 change engine oil as wen they produce da car i believe tat they got hundreds of engineer 2 run test on da car 1st b4 they even make a car~ jus my 2 cents n think back wat i've said issit correct or our so called 'smart genius' XDmonster is more right than me if u guys free 2 view back in myvi's forum few pages back where he starts 2 challenge n bias all his shallow theory n practical wit my at least 10yrs++ knowledge of theory+practical wit cars~

Cheeann, everytime before I said something in this thread, I had ask some a bunch of my friend which a mech and a bunch of callmen. I'm a callmen as well. But is last time. I always at ampang workshop and my personal experience kinda good. I had play a putra and 2 iswara before. If you think that I'm noob, then let it be. I just wanna help iswara/saga member here and not doing any business or whatever thing that put money on my wallet. I not earning even a single cent from them.

About that mild vibration, I had ask alot of people since yesterday you told me. That mild vibration can be fix. The mild vibration only will happen IF you didn't do balancing. As long as you do balancing, the vibration will be solve. Vibration on seat and rear seat already too much. and it very obvious the balancing of ur car already run. Another reason that the mild vibration happen because the rim already bengkok.
*
well,i dun call u noob or anything but jus 1 fella in myvi forum[so called expert in oil, mayb his bapak also orang minyak] keep bashing me wit his low n shallow exprience in automobile. . . . of cuz it acn be fix but jus da matter u wan it da ugly or nice balancing only,n i din't say cannot b fix at all,i'm jus asking u if u got vibration on ur seat n rear seat only la,btw if da rim no bengkok then got mild vibration then how?? smile.gif well,i'm here 2 help out also n not like sum ppl come here for business la~

If the rims no bengkok, and do nicely balancing, then the mild vibration should be never occur. Abit vibration on the steering wheel is normal. If front seat and rear seat got vibration, then it already too much. Maybe the wheel and the suspension problem.
*
well,i do always encounter tis prob wit bmw cars as da design wit volks almost da same but balancing is done very nicely on ad machine on did his on car balancing as well but how ever there's a very small flaw which occur on his certain speed of 90/100km/h-110/120km/h which sum of my customer very sensitive on vibration n i told him in order 2 get his optimun balancing his weight cannot put inside 2 hide it n put outside kau tim his prob solve~

Last time I use to be very fit. but, lazy to keep fit liao. no time go gym. So all lemak come out. haha..

This for those who wish to DIY change engine oil..

Tools needed:
1. 2 tonne jack
2. 17mm wrench
3. Oil filter wrench/opener
4. Oil container

1. Jack up your car. Make sure after jack up, it firm and steady. Else, you will be tuna bread. Remove oil cap as well.
2. Place a container below the oil pan and remove the bolt.
3. Drain the oil completely to the container. (use bigger container!)
4. Place container under the oil filer, and open the oil fitter with wrench opener.
5. Apply a thin film of engine oil to the NEW oil filter gasket.
6. Screw new oil filter back until tight. Use hand only.
7. Put back the bolt on the oil pan, and tighten it. make sure really tighten. Else, will leak.
8. Pour new engine oil. Estimated, 3/4 of the bottle. Check the level and pour if it not enough.
9. Then at last, close back the engine oil cap.
10. Take the engine oil to the nearest workshop! If you pour at ur house drain, confirm you will die. Haha..
*
i c,nvm la...
sponcer me sum of ur fats 2 me lo. . .
well,as for me i jus need 17mm wrench n oil container 2 DIY it's enuf lo. . . .
btw,oil filter n ad pan's bolt cannot over tighten as they r made from aluminium...
if over tighten liao then once it loose then means 'hailat' liao cuz it'll be super expensive 2 repair it back~

izzit? my car got makan engine oil alil.. my mechanic recommended 2 use thicker oil due the existence of the wear n tear in my engine.. need thicker oil to protect it.. n he oso say its cheaper as my car makan oil so no need use better engine oil..
total n elf oso quite expensive rite if i not mistaken.. castrol i heard good feedbacks wor.. q8 expensive kah? i checked at eneos is around rm50-60 like tat..
*
i c. . . .
then jus use back 20w50 rating or u can try using 15w50 oil also not bad....
castrol is quite nice but a bit noisier only. . . .
so hence i prefer using bardahl now lo. . .
unless if u dare,u can try pour half 20w50 then other half 15w40 lo. . ..
i've tried mixing both mineral 15w40 n fully syn 5w40 use on my satrian it run kinda smooth also smile.gif
