Respect mate, good enough you have been a fan since being demoted to the Championship but kudos to you for starting a thread even though you're in the First Division now. Who's the boss now? Is it still Dennis Wise? Is David Healy still there? Pardon my ignorance but I seldom follow the progress of clubs outside the top 2 divisions. It's not an insult, it's a fact.
I remember the good old days. Lee Chapman, David Batty, Lucas Redebe, Gary Kelly, Ian Harte, Tony Yeboah (who incidentally scored the first ever Premiership goal unless I'm mistaken), Nigel Martyn and bunch. Kinda miss you lot actually because I used to watch you games.

There is a great article about the rise and fall of Leeds United in this month's FourFourTwo magazine. Quite interesting to read.. Although there are a lot of tension between Leeds and Manchester United fans, as a football fan I hope that they'll survive and return back to EPL.
They are in bad shape financially now... The fans don't deserve all this.

Nice to see a fan who's stuck with his favourite club thru thick and thin. Leeds was a powerhouse back then, too bad the financial side of the club didn't go too well or we'd probably be looking at a Big Five in the Premier League. Still remember the days when Kewell, Viduka and Harte were playing their first team football there. And yea, their hero Alan Smith

Chris Baird is also among of them there. QUOTE(alister88 @ Sep 26 2007, 01:22 PM) Leeds produced good heros... Eric Cantona, Alan Smith, Mark Viduka, Harry Kewell.... Le Roi, Eric Cantona wasn't a product of Leeds. he only spent a year there and Howard Wilkinson sold him to us then for a mere 1 mill pounds. Bless Howard Wilkinson.

A few American's there as well with Dempsey being the latest addition. I watched a footy programme once and it focused on Fulham. They have a pretty big following in the US of A. I like him as a player. It's good to see him back after his not so publicised spell with Levante. I actually didn't pay much attention to were he went after Leeds and was surprised to see him in Spain, much like when I found out that Vinnie Samways was with Las Palmas. By the way, we still have not received any thanks for helping you win your Premiership title This post has been edited by Duke Red: Sep 26 2007, 03:28 PM

Nice to see a Leeds Untied thread here...hope that it is updated regularly I for one would like to see them back at the top flight as I do have a soft spot for them (mainly because of the reason Don Revie decided to change their kit to all white of course )

It's hard to see Leeds coming up to EPL. It'll take at least 5 years as currently their players & strength is nothing to shout about. But boy, do they have a manager who can shout his lung out not to mention can start a fight in an empty room.
