I know it's debatable whether the nasi lemak in Village Park is THE best but by any standards it's quite good but my question is if there's any similar KL styled and standard nasi lemak in Penang?

In all honesty, Penang nasi lemak is better for me (personal taste here ya) because the sambal is more savoury compared to the sweeter Klang Valley version.

If you like the central version, then do check out Projek Nasi Lemak at Jalan Dato Keramat or their smaller branch at Esplanade.

My personal absolute favorite in Penang is Jin Hoe Cafe Nasi Lemak with their amazing sambal belacan located at Pulau Tikus close to the market but you have to be very early for this one.

Lastly, you also can't go wrong with the iconic Ali Nasi Lemak located at Sri Weld Food Court, Beach Street but be prepared to queue lar.

Penang not sure but the only one come close to Park Village in my opinion ( still cannot beat Park Village) will be Nasi Lemak Pokok Besar @ Kepong. The fried chicken serve was also whole leg (thigh + drumstick ) and has its own flavor. The nasi lemak are served with 2 types of sambals. 1 was sweet flavor & another one savoury.

A good nasi lemak has to have tasty siham and sotong... you got none of those? Its basically chicken rice with sambal.

Operated by the Muslim family , the queue very long, tried before , it was above average but the Pokok Besar”s fried chicken tasted better in my opinion.

The fried whole chicken leg still good with the 2 type of sambals. The coconut rice , I think not fragrant enough & the coconut milk used too diluted ( cannot bring out the santan smell with the mild taste of saltiness if santan). Other aspects are still good.

This was selling at RM 14 / order. The price was kinda expensive in comparison to Nasi Lemak Bawah Pokok Kepong but the taste was good & the fried chicken was crispy & flavourful.

Landmark of stall arrangement - opposite Public Bank.
