i bought a pair of Xiaomi AX3000 mesh devices. Currently, it joined my Unifi Home network with 1 device connected (wired) to the TP-Link Archer C1200 router provided by TM. I would like to seek help from the gurus on the following queries:-
(1) Can I replace the TP-Link with a Xiaomi AX3000? If so, how involved or how to go about configuring it to function as normal, especially with Unifi TV.?
(2) Should option 1 be too complicated, can I or should I rename the Xiaomi mesh SSID to be identical to the TP-Link SSID?
Thank you.

Thank you very much for this quick reply. When the TP-Link was installed, the technician mentioned that the router was configured such that the Unifi TV set-top box only works when connected to port #4. Wonder what other parameters settings that need to be configured into the Xiaomi AX3000 so it will work the same way the existing TP-Link router does. Advice very much appreciated. Tq/

Did some research, but no breakthrough yet. As I am not technically savvy, hesitate to experiment too much for fear that it may make things worse and I can't watch what little programs that Unifi TV has to offer.

Good news for u and me. I found the way.
If u had set it up with DCHP. U can go to the modem page in http://192.168.1.31

After u log in, go to network setting. Then do the set up according to the pic I shared. Choose PPPoE. Key in the unifi username and pw of yours. Then remember to change the additional ISP setting (as shown with the red arrow). Choose Malaysia unifi. Then click apply. U shud have it running without issue. So now I can ditch my tm modem.... As for the iptv part, coz I don't use hypptv, so I didn't attempt to do it. U may try to change the setting under iptv and choose Malaysia unifi in the selection. Hope that will work for u. Its actually very simple and easy.

Cheers
