If I want to conceal my autogate wire, is it a must to use armored wire?
What is the down side for normal wire? Is it straight away spoil when hit by electric?
Or any other reason?

Normal wire should be fine. The most important thing is to use a pipe inside the wall. It will save you a ton of headache in the future.

You can use normal wire, and I suggest you use HDPE water pipe as your conduit. It is smooth, continuous, and you will be able to pull new wires through the pipe in the future.
